Security Risk Ahead Campaign

Some things like, internet browsing, cannot be any less safe and still safe.

We wanted to emphasize that safety must always be a top priority and cannot be compromised, even in the slightest. Just as no one would accept lowered safety standards on a rollercoaster, it is equally unacceptable to weaken internet security.

The campaign focused directly on the issue of cybersecurity, making it clear and easy to understand why Article 45.2 would have negative consequences.

Using the creative theme of a theme park, the website presented these issues in a fun and engaging way, helping users grasp the risks without needing extensive explanation.

The campaign was ultimately successful: the European Parliament voted in favor of the Article 45 compromise, ensuring that cybersecurity best practices prevailed over political and financial considerations.

Qwacs logo

The ducks in the QWACs logo are intentionally loud and disruptive—they’re designed to create a memorable buzz. The concept reflects the idea that even a small change can make a big difference.

This ties back to Article 45.2, which requires browsers to support Qualified Website Authentication Certificates (QWACs). However, these certificates can be issued without independent security checks, effectively lowering the standard for internet security. The “duck” imagery highlights the risk: what may appear harmless or even playful on the surface can, in reality, make significant noise in the digital ecosystem.
